Geoff Davey
Co-founder

Geoff Davey is a cofounder and director of FinaMetrica. He is the creator of the FinaMetrica Risk Profiling system and manages FinaMetrica's ongoing research activities and relationships with academic and research institutions.

Geoff has an international reputation for expertise in risk tolerance and its role in the financial planning process. Geoff has been an invited speaker on these topics at financial planning conferences in Australia, NZ, the US, the UK, Malaysia and Canada. Geoff has written numerous journal articles and white papers.

Prior to FinaMetrica, he was a pioneer of financial planning in Australia. The firm he founded in 1972 was amongst the first to offer a financial planning service. By the time Geoff sold out to his five partners in 1989, the firm had 100 staff in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne and was widely acknowledged as being an industry leader.

Geoff is a member of the Australian Financial Planning Association, an international member of the US Financial Planning Association and a member of the US FPA's Asia Pacific Focus Group. Geoff was appointed Chair of the US FPA's Asia-Pacific Focus Group for 2010.

Paul Resnik
Co-founder

Paul Resnik commenced in the financial services industry in Australia in 1970.

Since then he has worked in a broad array of roles including establishing and being founding executive of financial planning, funds management and life insurance businesses.

Since 1991 he has been an industry consultant providing product and distribution advice to all of Australia’s major banks, life companies and most funds managers and financial planning groups.

Paul is a regular commentator on industry issues in both the media and on conference stage.

FinaMetrica is very proud of the young people who drive our daily operations. Most started with us on a part-time basis while completing their university degrees.

Nicki Potts
Research and Technical Services

Nicki started working part-time at FinaMetrica in October 2001. In 2002, Nicki graduated from the University of New South Wales, majoring in Finance and Information Systems and commenced full-time work as Research Officer at FinaMetrica. In 2005, Nicki completed her Graduate Diploma in Psychology at the University of Sydney. She also completed her Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning).

Nicki is a member of the St John's Ambulance organisation, which provides first aid support for community events. When time and weather permits, Nicki enjoys hiking and camping out in the Australian bush.

Alan Ha
Web and Database Administrator

Alan joined the FinaMetrica team in December 2002, after completing his Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance and Information Systems) at the University of New South Wales. During his time at FinaMetrica, he completed various certificates in Network Administration from TAFE NSW and ultimately went on to undertake further studies at UNSW.

In 2006, Alan completed his Master of Commerce (majoring in Strategic Value Management) with a strong focus on Intellectual Capital and Knowledge Management.

Alan has been dubbed as the "dessert connoisseur" of the office and is known for his broad sartorial knowledge, which he frequently shares with colleagues.

Michelle Hallmann
Accounts Manager

Michelle began working at FinaMetrica in January 2010, with three years prior experience in the financial sector providing services to both local and international clients and is currently in the process of completing her accounting qualifications.

During the winter season Michelle manages a local youth soccer team and in her spare time enjoys dancing, snorkeling and reading.
